6. Vehicle Eligibility for Awards

  • Eligible Subaru vehicles are grouped in the following two categories:
    1. Plan “A”: 2015 Model Year or newer  Subaru WRX or WRX STI models entered in the Production 4WD (P4wd)  class or Restricted Open 4WD (RO4wd) class.
    2. Plan “B”: 2008 – 2014 Model Year Subaru WRX or WRX STI  models entered in P4wd class. Please note there are no awards for Plan B in the RO4wd class.
  • Please review the per event payout schedule below for respective Plan payouts.

7. Class Eligibility for Awards

  • Only American Rally Association’s Restricted Open 4wd (RO4wd) and Production 4wd (P4wd) classes are eligible for awards.

8. Award Information:

  • For event award payouts the participant’s finish position is based on his/her position in the official event results relative to all other registered and eligible P4wd and RO4wd class Subaru participants in this program.  Drivers who are not registered with the program but are competing in P4wd or RO4wd cars will not be factored in the contingency results on a per event basis.
  • In order to receive payouts from Canadian events, competitors must also start at least one national US based ARA event. For example, payouts earned for Perce-Neige Rally will be paid to the eligible competitor once they start the Oregon Trail Rally or the next US round they enter. Both US and Canadian based competitors are eligible for this award.  If the competitor does not start a US based ARA national event in the 2017 the registrant forfeits any awards earned at a Canadian round.
  • Any penalties, disqualifications, or class changes levied by series or event officials on any program entrant will be mirrored or applied to finish classifications at the sole discretion of Subaru of America.
  • Per event award payouts are for the top three classified, registered  drivers in  eligible Subaru vehicles for each event (based on vehicle eligibility described in section 6), and paid out according to their respective schedules listed below.
  • If an eligible driver fails to finish the rally, the driver will be classified after all other finishing eligible and registered drivers.  For example if there are 4 eligible drivers and 1 driver does not finish, he/she will be classified as 4th for the purposes of contingency payouts.
  • Should more than 1 eligible driver fail to finish the rally then classification will be made by 1) total # of stages completed or  2) if total # of stages completed is equal to another competitor than cumulative stage time prior to DNF shall be used for the purpose of classification.
  • If a driver restarts the rally the following day, in the Regional portion of the event and/or under any form of SuperRally rules, those stages in which the driver completes will be counted toward his/her total for the purposes of determining finish classification for payouts.
  • Awards may be withheld if event results are not confirmed by series or event officials or a protest or inquiry is presented.
  • The award check, in the appropriate amount, will be mailed to the address on record, payable to the registered driver. Award checks shall be mailed 10-15 business days after the conclusion of an event via USPS.
