Subaru Motorsports USA Heads to 100 Acre Wood for First Gravel Rally of 2026

Potosi, MO — Subaru Motorsports USA’s Travis Pastrana and co-driver Rhianon Gelsomino head to the high-speed gravel roads of Missouri for the second round of the 2026 American Rally Association (ARA) season, the legendary Rally in the 100 Acre Wood, March 13–14.

Traditionally the championship’s first gravel event following February’s snow-and-ice opener Sno*Drift Rally, 100 Acre Wood is known for its fast, flowing roads and high-commitment driving. A staple of American rally since the 1970s, the Missouri classic rewards precision and bravery in equal measure.

This year’s running carries added significance, as the itinerary returns to the beloved Crawford County stages — including the iconic “Cattle Guard jump” — for the first time in five years.

Extreme sports legend Pastrana is “excited the rally was able to re-gain access to the stages we used to run a few years back. The Cattle Guard stage is my favorite stage of 100 Acre Wood!”

The event has historically been one of the most competitive stops on the ARA calendar.

“100 Acre Wood is one of the most challenging rallies in the championship for me,”
Pastrana admits. “Ken Block was so dominant here that it really didn’t allow many chances for a win… and when I was in position to win, I always seemed to find trouble.”

Competing for the win in the L4WD class, Pastrana and Gelsomino square up against a large field of 41 National Entries with a record nine RC2 class cars aiming for overall victory, including one driven by Ken Block’s daughter, Lia, driving Pastrana’s curiosity and competition.

“If the first round of the championship was any indication, Lia Block will be a title contender for the overall ARA,” Pastrana said, “I look forward to seeing if she can find the magic at this event like her dad.”

For Gelsomino, the appeal of Missouri lies in its intensity.“It’s one of the fastest and most intense events on the ARA calendar,” she said. “High speed stages, blind crests, big commitment. That’s exactly what makes it such a great challenge.”

The No. 199 WRX ARA25L enters the weekend looking to rebound after a minor off at Sno*Drift put the pair out of podium contention. With the championship still in its early stages, strong points in Missouri will be critical.

“After a disappointing end to Sno*Drift, Travis and I are heading into 100 Acre Wood focused on scoring strong points and getting our season back on track,”
Gelsomino said. “We’re also looking forward to putting on a show for the fans. The support at 100 Acre Wood is always incredible.”
