Dan Farley

Dan is a Vermont SportsCar success story, having joined the team as an intern in 2006 and then working his way through various positions to his current role as Powertrain Department Manager. His broad experience –  ranging from gearbox technician, to driving the trucks to events, to race engineer, powertrain engineering manager and senior engine engineer makes him one of the most versatile engineers on staff. With expertise in both rallycross and rally, he oversees all aspects of the Powertrain Department: managing engine and driveline projects including design, calibration on the engine/chassis dyno, event preparations, and testing and event support. 

Dan has degrees from Vermont Tech (Ass.Degree: Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Technology, B.Sc: Electromechanical Engineering) and a Masters in Mechanical Engineering, Engine Systems from the University of Wisconsin-Madison as well as certificates for engine tuning and advanced ECU applications. He has traveled extensively in Europe and Japan with Vermont SportsCar and when he isn’t working, he enjoys playing guitar and snowboarding with his wife and 2 children.
