Subaru Announces PUMA® as New Team Sponsor for Three-car Global RallyCross Championship Program.

Subaru of America, Inc. has announced the official sponsorship of sportslifestyle brand PUMA for the Subaru PUMA RallyCross Team. As part of the multi-year sponsorship agreement with Subaru, PUMA becomes the official supplier of team and racewear and an exclusive licensing partner to the team for footwear and apparel. The Subaru PUMA RallyCross Team is managed by Subaru technical partner Vermont SportsCar. The team will be competing in the six-round Global RallyCross Championship (GRC) series.

Subaru Driver David Higgins Extends Rally America Championship Points Lead with Second Place Finish at the 2012 Rally in the 100 Acre Wood

Subaru Rally Team USA driver David Higgins, the defending Rally America National Champion, has significantly extended his 2012 championship points lead with a second place finish at The Rally in the 100 Acre Wood. Higgins’ two primary season-long rivals failed to finish the event thus providing even more impact to Higgins’ second place points-haul. The Rally in the 100 Acre Wood, round two of the 2012 Rally America National Championship included over 100 miles of extremely fast and flowing gravel roads that traversed the foothills of Missouri’s Ozark Mountains.

David Higgins Wins 2011 Rally America National Championship

Subaru Rally Team USA driver David Higgins has won the 2011 Rally America National Championship with a 2nd Overall finish at the season finale, the New England Forest Rally! Higgins and his co-driver Craig Drew piloted their Vermont SportsCar prepared 2011 Subaru Impreza WRX STI rally car to three victories and two 2nd Overall finishes in the six-event 2011 Rally America National Championship.

Higgins Wins Mt. Washington Hillclimb, Smashes Course Record

Subaru Rally Team USA driver David Higgins broke the long standing Mt. Washington "Climb To The Clouds" Hill Climb record set in 1998. Piloting his 2011 Subaru WRX STI rally car, Higgins crushed the time set by Frank Sprongl by more than 30-seconds with an official time of 6 minutes and 11.54 seconds. Higgins also beat the unofficial record time set by Travis Pastrana last year of 6:20.47.
