Welcome to the final round of the 2020 ARA National Championship season, the DirtFish Olympus Rally! One of the most scenic and historic rounds on the calendar, Olympus Rally is held in Olympic National Forest in Washington state. It is known as a technical rally with roads ranging from flat to crowned, with long straights and numerous crests and dips, and corners that can be on- or off-camber or both. The rocky soil is hard on tires, and the Pacific Northwest’s wet weather can make for very tricky conditions.

With the 2020 ARA National Driver’s Championship already decided, the mission for Subaru this weekend is simple: go flat-out for a third straight rally win and double podium! Travis Pastrana and Brandon Semenuk are no strangers to this rally with Pastrana a two-time winner and Semenuk having competed here in 2016 and 2018.

As always, stay tuned for up-to-date rally coverage on Subaru Motorsports USA social media channels this weekend. We’ll see you at the finish!

QUOTES FROM THE DRIVERS
Travis Pastrana #199 Subaru WRX STI:

Olympus is a tough, technical rally with big cliffs. Easy to make mistakes but a lot of fun! Running the rally this late in the year will be different for everyone. We’ll definitely get rain and maybe even snow, plus the stages haven’t been driven this direction in a while which makes it even more important to have solid notes. Very excited about this event and can’t wait to get back in the car!

Brandon Semenuk #180 Subaru WRX STI:
My first test this year with Subaru was here in Washington state, so we’ll be ending off the year where it started! It’s great to be competing on the West Coast for the first time this season too, a little closer to home for me. I’ve been here a couple times before and Olympus is typically a challenging event, especially with the grip levels changing with the weather, but getting my first win last month gave me a lot more confidence so John and I will be pushing from stage one.

“This rally will be held without spectators, so be sure to catch our coverage on Subaru Motorsports USA social media channels all weekend long.”
