Welcome to the season-opening round of the 2021 American Rally Association National Championship season—Sno*Drift Rally! The iconic winter round of the ARA national calendar marks the return of drivers Travis Pastrana and Brandon Semenuk after a condensed 2020 season that saw the team capture seven podiums and a pair of rally wins in only four events. Co-drivers Rhianon Gelsomino and John Hall will also be back in the blue and gold WRX STI rally cars for 2021. With both crews returning and a full nine-round calendar scheduled, Pastrana/Gelsomino and Semenuk/Hall will be looking to start the year strong at an event notorious for its slippery and challenging conditions.

Sno*Drift will be Subaru Motorsports USA’s return to winter rallying for the first time since 2016, and a top-notch field of Open Class and R5 cars will offer plenty of competition. Local laws also do not allow for the use of tire studs, so the weekend promises plenty of action and excitement as the 2021 season gets underway.

QUOTES FROM THE DRIVERS
Travis Pastrana #199 Subaru WRX STI:
“Sno*Drift was the first rally I ever did and one of my favorites on the calendar. It has been a strong rally for me in the past but I haven’t raced this event in over a decade. This year is going to be a knock-down-drag-out fight and Subaru Motorsports USA is ready to do battle. I’ve won it three times, but Barry McKenna won it last year and Brandon has the most snow experience—all of us feel like the favorite coming into round 1. Game on!”

Brandon Semenuk #180 Subaru WRX STI:
“New year, new challenges! Kicking off the year with Sno*Drift will make for a very tricky start to the season, but also a great way to diversify the 2021 calendar with another surface type. Subarus love snow, so hoping this will be a strong start for the team.”
