Conner Martell takes on the Acropolis Rally In His WRC Debut
June25, 2026
The 2026 WRC Acropolis rally spans three major Greek regions from the Peloponnese and Attica to Central Greece. The historic rally links mountain and sea, features legendary special stages and vibrant landscapes, and creates a challenging environment that remains the most demanding event in the FIA World Rally Championship. Over four days of racing, competitors will be tested on stages that demand precision, endurance and strategy.

Conner Martell, who has been competing in the French Gravel Championship series this season, just completed three grueling days of Recce and is looking forward to the racing.
“We had a long three days of Reece covering 1500+ kilometers. The stages are extremely technical and tough. The main goal of this rally is just to make it to the finish line with the least amount of damage possible. We have a great new car, the support of an awesome team and the opportunity to represent the United States in the biggest series in Rally Racing”. Both Alex and I are ready to give it everything we have.”

Co-Driver Alec Gelsomino is ready to tackle the rough roads as well:
“I am excited to be at the Acropolis Rally as it’s my first time here. I was told how rough and challenging the stages were and they are exceeding my expectations. Reece went great and I’m excited to drive the stages at speed in the new Lancia Ypsilon Rally2 HF Integrale with the support of our amazing team 2C Competition”
