Martell Wins First Ever Tarmac Rally!
Conner Martell & Alex Gelsomino secured the overall podium position at this past weekends “Rallye National des Monts Dôme”. The event provided the opportunity for Martell to dip his toes into the Tarmac Rally scene and gain experience to help further progress his racing pursuits. The SKODA Fabia Rally2 was reliable and the 282.90 km of roads delivered.
Martell had this to say about the event : “ It was a great first experience on Tarmac. I think it was an opportunity for me to improve my driving because the road feels smoother and calmer than gravel. The three stages provided plenty of tricky sections and varying grip conditions making the detail in our notes even more important. I hope to do more tarmac rallys in the future as it was a lot of fun and definitely helps improve my driving.”
Martell & Gelsomino will be competing in the final round of the French Gravel Championship : “Rallye Terre de Vaucluse” the first week of November in Orange France! Stay tuned!
