David Higgins Wins Dramatic STPR by a Mere 1.3 seconds!

David Higgins and co-driver Craig Drew have won the Susquehannock Trail Performance Rally (STPR), round five of the 2011 Rally America National Championship, by a mere 1.3 seconds over rival Antoine L’Estage. Higgins and L’Estage battled back and forth throughout the event with Higgins staging a late rally comeback that saw him take the rally lead on the penultimate stage after overcoming a thirty-seven second deficit midway through the final day of action.

David Higgins Wins Oregon Trail Rally, Vaults into Rally America Championship Lead

David Higgins, at the wheel of his BFGoodrich Tires-shod 2011 Subaru Impreza WRX STI, won convincingly at the 2011 Oregon Trail Rally, round four of the 2011 Rally America Championship. Higgins and his co-driver Craig Drew won the event with a gap of nearly three and a half minutes ahead of his closest rival after a dominating performance on the event’s technical and rain drenched roads.

Mirra finished in 6th Overall in the Rallycross event after ripping a rear wheel off in an impact with a cement barrier in the hotly contested A-Main Final.

Entry Details and Competition Classes Announced for the 2011 Mt. Washington Hillclimb

January 13, 2011 – Officials at Vermont SportsCar, organizers of the 2011 Mt. Washington Hillclimb planned for June 22-26, 2011 at the Mt. Washington Auto Road in Pinkham Notch, Gorham, NH, released details today regarding the competition classes and Entry Application process for the event. The Mt. Washington Hillclimb, known as the Climb to the Clouds, was first run in 1904 and is one of America’s oldest motorsports events. The 2011 Climb to the Clouds, which makes a comeback after a ten year hiatus, will be a 5-day festival of motorsports that hopes to attract a 70-car competition field filled with some of the best drivers from around the world competing for “King of the Hill” honors.
